As businesses adjust to operate safely in as a result of COVID-19, talech have been focussed on delivering product features and enhancements that help our customers do business if circumstances permit. In recent weeks, we have updated our existing Online Ordering feature to include a variety of enhancements, launched Online Ordering for Retail and we continue to work on more initiatives aimed to help businesses in these challenging times.
Having the facility to run house accounts for loyal customers has always been a useful tool for any business and with the need for social distancing and reduced face-to-face interactions, it may be particularly useful into the future. We have made several improvements allowing you to manage your customer accounts even easier.
We now have:
- A detailed monthly email and web statement for your customers to view online or via their mobile devices
- A pay now button so customer can pay off their house account balance online (*)
- Customer level controls to allow only specific customer accounts to go into a negative balance. You can define your trusted clients

Taking a break is vital for a happy healthy workforce who are able to serve your customers with energy and enthusiasm. Likewise, it’s good to ensure that staff are taking the appropriate length of break and are available to be on duty when they are expected to be.
You can now:
- Track paid and unpaid breaks to ensure staff are paid accurately
- Set break length to maximise coverage and efficiency
- Set as many breaks as you need

We have also launched a series of other improvements.
With the move towards reducing contact during the process of selling products, SMS Receipts is one way where you can provide digital solution that cuts out a physical receipt. Just enter their phone number into your talech cash register and second later, it will arrive right to their phone. They can now view and download a fully loaded itemized receipt with all the business information and handy map of the business location.

For products which may have multiple barcodes, you can enter a comma after each barcode. So no matter what you barcode scan it will be recognised. Great for convenience stores and retailers.

Our item grouping feature to group non-adjacent items on kitchen tickets. It’s just the flick of a switch and the kitchen will be more organized.
